Data used to cal­cu­late val­ues for this chart was retrieved from the fol­low­ing web sites and used with­out per­mis­sion.

Method:  For each data set, I assigned a value of 100% to the most lit­eral trans­la­tion (except­ing inter­lin­ear trans­la­tions).  The least lit­eral trans­la­tion was assigned a value of 0%.  I then used this scale to cal­cu­lated the per­cent lit­er­al­ness value for each bible ver­sion in the data set.  Then, for each bible ver­sion, I com­bined the per­cent­age value from all five data sets and cal­cu­lated an aver­age.  Finally, I placed the results in “bins”, each includ­ing 100 ÷ 21 per­cent­age points.  So, for exam­ple, the ver­sions in the 10.0 bin have lit­er­al­ness val­ues rang­ing from 100% to about 95.239%.
